成都电焊机研究所1965年从上海电器科学研究所内迁至成都后成立，是全国电焊机行业唯一的国家级研究所和行业技术归口所，主要从事电焊机及各类专用成套焊接设备的研发、制造、销售和服务，同时还承担着电焊机质量检测、标准制修订、技术情报信息交流和管理等方面的行业服务职能。
Chengdu electric welding machine research institute was established after Shanghai electrical apparatus research institute moved from Shanghai to Chengdu in 1965. It is the only national-level research institute and specialized unit of industrial technology in nationwide electric welding machine industry. Its businesses mainly include the R&D, manufacture, sales and service of the electric welding machine and all kinds of special complete sets of welding equipment, and it also undertakes some industrial service functions, such as the quality test of electric welding machine, the make and revise of standards, exchange and management of technical information and so on.

始终坚持自主开发为主，紧跟国内外先进焊接技术的发展，不断掌握核心技术、占领技术制高点。
2、《电焊机》杂志
创刊于1971年，是国内外公开发行的国家级综合性应用技术刊物，以报道焊接切割设备技术为基本特色。
3、中国焊接博览会
创办于1985年，一直以“植根行业、助推发展”为己任，每年一届，已先后在北京、上海等经济热点城市举办了31届。
4、学会协会工作
特色活动包括始于20世纪70年代的两年一次的中国焊接装备产业高峰会议（原为电焊机行业厂长经理峰会）、焊接技术论坛、技术座谈会以及供需双方恳谈会等。

3. China Welding Exposition
It was found in 1985, always takes “rooting in industry, boosting development” as own duty, and has been annually held for 31 years in Beijing, Shanghai and other economic hot cities.
4. Works of Welding Institute and Association
Its feature activities include China welding equipment industry summit (former factory manager summit of electric welding machine industry) since 1970s, welding technical forum or symposium, and meeting for supply and demand parties.
