Built over 30 years ago, and the recipient of £2bn (US$2.61bn) investment, it’s an operation sustained by a daily delivery of 350 truckloads of components from EU suppliers without border friction. The result is a plant capable of making 600 cars every 24 hours, with 70% exported worldwide. Indeed, the Civic is one of the US market’s best-selling cars, and one in five is made in made in Swindon.
